Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Network Consultant with over 5 years of proven experience in IT, preferably within a large Datacenter environment. The ideal candidate should be capable of working with minimal supervision and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively resolve network-related issues and customer requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide network operational support as part of the network operations team.
  • Resolve network-related incidents, problems, and user requests.
  • Install and upgrade network devices.
  • Perform preventive network tasks, including maintenance windows.
  • Create and maintain network-related procedures and documentation.
  • Review network equipment logs and alerts, performing corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and update technical documentation and configuration templates.
  • Provide telephone “stand-by” support outside business hours when required.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience with networking routing protocols like OSPF and BGP.
  • Proficiency in networking switching techniques.
  • Expertise in networking security techniques.
  • Ability to configure, monitor, and support Palo Alto or Checkpoint Firewalls in HA, including NAT, IPSec VPNs, URL/application filtering, IPS, policies, and inline layers.
  • Ability to configure, monitor, and support Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls in HA, including Discovery, Access Control, Security Intelligence, NAT, IPSec VPNs, AVC, URL filtering, SSL inspection, Intrusion Prevention, and Malware filtering.
  • Proficiency in configuring, monitoring, and supporting Cisco AnyConnect with NAC solutions (Cisco ISE or Microsoft NPS).
  • Ability to configure, monitor, and support network infrastructure based on Cisco ACI or NX-OS switches, Cisco IOS-based ISR/ASR routers, and Catalyst switches.
  • Experience with configuring, monitoring, and supporting F5 LTM load balancers.
  • Ability to install and configure web proxy and network tools on Linux-based machines.
  • Proficiency in using scripting and/or programming languages to automate repetitive tasks.
