Job Description

Position: IT Project Manager

Duration: Full-Time
Location: Remote
Note: We are seeking immediate joiners.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Ability to engage and collaborate with end users and stakeholders as needed.
  • Proficiency in working within a virtual matrix team environment.
  • Competence in problem identification and resolution.
  • Openness to embracing methodologies and seeking improved processes.
  • Solid understanding of the IT industry.
  • Ability to integrate project work with Knowledge Management concepts and principles.

Education, Qualifications, and Certifications

  • Degree in business, IT, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management Certification such as PMI PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner.
  • At least 5-6 years of project management experience in the IT industry, managing end-user facing projects.
  • Experience in managing virtual teams.
  • Experience working in an international environment.

Job Description

  • Develop project charter and preliminary scope statement.
  • Create and manage a project management plan.
  • Direct and oversee project execution, monitoring, and control.
  • Implement change control processes and close projects effectively.
  • Manage project scope including planning, definition, work breakdown, verification, and control.
  • Oversee project time management including activity definition, sequencing, resource estimating, duration estimating, schedule development, and schedule control.
  • Implement project quality management through quality planning, assurance, and control.
  • Conduct project human resources management including planning, team building, development, and management.
  • Manage project communications including planning, information distribution, performance reporting, and stakeholder management.
  • Develop and maintain project plans and work breakdown structures, ensuring adherence to PM methodology.
  • Support the management of the IT Infrastructure Project Portfolio by working with stakeholders to define, prioritize, and manage future projects.
  • Report project status to stakeholders based on established criteria.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with regular updates from functional teams.
  • Conduct risk management by maintaining risk documentation and mitigation strategies.
  • Support stakeholder management by analyzing expectations based on project requirements.
  • Provide overall project administration by participating in meetings, documenting minutes, tracking issues, decisions, and action items, and driving issues to closure.

Key Working Relationships

  • Collaborates closely with IT leaders to understand technology and business needs and goals.
  • Works with the Director of Global Infrastructure to maintain productive relationships with technology staff, project sponsors, system users, and vendors.
  • Interacts with other IT and operations project managers, senior technical personnel, and other functional or support organizations.
