Position Summary

The Technician, Entertainment Technology will provide top-quality technical support within the Entertainment Department, ensuring efficient and effective operations in line with the company’s policies and procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure the day-to-day technical operation of all entertainment venues at City of Dreams Mediterranean.
  • Perform assigned daily operational tasks, coordinating with the Entertainment Events team and Resort Engineers to ensure all performance-related systems are functional, maintaining high technical standards across all venues.
  • Organize, carry out, and complete all maintenance requests promptly.
  • Ensure all technical operations and procedures are safe, given the complexity and risk associated with the equipment.
  • Handle all AVL-related system setup, standby, and dismantling of events.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping/Environmental Services for necessary follow-up cleaning jobs.
  • Regularly inspect tools and equipment to ensure they function correctly and are safe to use.
  • Maintain tidiness and cleanliness of workbenches, workshop areas, and storage areas to ensure a safe and decent workplace.
  • Follow up on deficiencies noted during inspections and take necessary actions, reporting any issues that could affect operations to superiors immediately.
  • Supervise all hazardous work, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Maintain good relationships with contractors to secure the best possible service.
  • Assist in the operation of appointed attractions and related tasks.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to superiors and relevant departments.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors.

Qualifications

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 year in the Casino/Hotel/Entertainment industry focusing on show operations.

Education

  • Secondary school certificate in Electrical, Building Services, Mechanical, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional training preferred.
  • Candidates without trade certificates but with substantial experience will also be considered.

Skills

  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and maintain audio, lighting, and video equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Greek and English is highly preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office) are highly preferred.
  • Hands-on, with good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Independent and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to frequently or occasionally climb ladders and work at heights.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible availability for shifts, including overnight, weekends, and holidays on a rotation basis.
  • Willingness to work overtime when needed.
